About Farnsworth Law Offices

History and Purpose

Farnsworth Law Offices has been at the forefront of consumer bankruptcy in Arizona for nearly 20 years. Our offices have interviewed, advised, and served tens of thousands of Arizona individuals, families, and small businesses relative to insolvency, debt relief, and bankruptcy matters.

Farnsworth Law Offices is a federally designated debt relief agency pursuant to Title 11 of the United States Code. We provide legal assistance and help people file for bankruptcy relief under the Bankruptcy Code. We commit to provide you with accurate and timely information concerning bankruptcy. The purpose of this website is to answer common questions that many client have in deciding whether or not to pursue filing bankruptcy.


Attorneys

Dwayne Farnsworth

Dwayne earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Arizona State University in 1986, and his Juris Doctorate Degree in Law from the University of Arizona in 1989. While at the University of Arizona he had the distinction and honor to serve as an Associate Editor on the board of the Arizona Journal of International & Comparative Law.

He is admitted to practice before both the Federal and State Courts throughout Arizona. His law practice has focused on the representation of taxpayers, as well as financially distressed individuals, families, and small businesses throughout the state of Arizona. He has been practicing consumer and small business law statewide for nearly 20 years. Over this period of time he has successfully represented thousands of cases spanning a period of tremendous growth and changes in the bankruptcy field.

He has been the featured professional speaker at both Accounting and State Bar professional education workshops and seminars. He and his wife are the parents of 7 children and currently resides in Gilbert, Arizona.

Wayne Mortensen

Wayne received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University in 1994. While at Brigham Young he had the opportunity to live in Washington D.C. and complete an internship for Congressman John Rhodes.

After completing work at Brigham Young, Wayne received his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law. It was at Cal Western where Wayne became interested in Bankruptcy Law. During his final semester at law school he was accepted to an externship with with Judge Charles Case (U.S. Bankruptcy Judge District of Arizona).

Wayne's practice is limited to consumer law with a strong focus on Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy. During his eleven years of practice he has helped thousands of individuals and small businesses successfully navigate the convoluted area of bankruptcy law.

He is a frequent speaker at various State Bar professional education seminars. He currently resides in Tucson with his wife and 5 children, 2 dogs, a lizard and a fish.
